This is a comprehensive course with full-time schedule of lectures, demonstrations, practical and clinical experience in the delivery of Imaging Technology. The course is designed to develop personnel to use modern Radiology equipments like X-ray, CT scan, MRI, Mammography, &Cathlab Machines in Hospital.
Advance Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology is a Diploma level Radiography program. Medical Imaging Technology is a study of the techniques to perform Imaging of the human beings in Radiology Department like X-ray, CT scan, MRI etc. for diagnosis of Diseases. The course helps to know the basic anatomy of the body so that he/she can interpret the parts on the radiograph and to teach basic physiology of the body & how pathology will alter it, leading to a disease process medicine. It trains the student in conventional radiography as well as in modern imaging techniques and a few alternative procedures which are not routinely performed. The course also helps to get information about the health of a patient with regards to diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
Advance Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology is a 2 year academic programme that will provide students with a broad knowledge in biophysical and health sciences to enable them to acquire practical lessons in handling radio imaging equipment and procedures.
Candidates should have passed a B.Sc. or any equivalent degree with minimum 50% marks.
